Microsoft Innovation Center Torino, Arrow and BEPS Engineering present a proof of concept (POC) for public advertisement, the Kinect-Azure POC, following the roadmap of Intelligent System. The current solution has been focused on a real estate scenario, but the same technology can be applied in different application domains.

The POC system is composed by three elements:

- A Kinect for Windows that enables a natural user experience by means of simple gestures;

- An embedded system that runs the dedicated application and manages the Kinect device;
- A powerful and flexible cloud backend, based on the Windows Azure platform, which manages the contents and enables Business Intelligent paradigms.

Windows Phone applications: more than 2000 downloads!

Last summer I published the first application at Windows Phone marketplace:Motogp 2011 timetable. After the great feedback, I published similar app for Formula1 Formula1 2011 timetable. Yesterday they achieved 2000 downloads! I need to thank Luca Regnicoli and Katia Egiziano for the support given at WindowsPhone7 Camp on may at Mic Torino.

Connect with Windows Embedded in collaboration with Arrow Electronics

On June 9, come and discover the Windows Embedded world at the Microsoft headquarter in collaboration with Arrow Electronics. You will have the chance to meet a team of Microsoft expert and its partners, through our demo to discover the innovative systems using Windows Embedded and participate in technical workshops to learn about our platforms.
In the afternoon, me and Marco Pasin (from Microsoft Innovation Center in Turin) will show some examples of Silverlight for Embedded on Windows CE 6.0 and on the new version Windows Embedded Compact 7.

Proof Of Concept for Windows Phone 7 at Microsoft Innovation Center (Turin)

Last week I had the opportunity to participate in the Proof Of Concept in the laboratories of Microsoft Innovation Center. In these two days each of us has been able to create the pillars of his own Windows Phone 7 application, with the technical help of Luca Regnicoli and the user experience of Katia Egiziano (http://wp7.thinkahead.it/).
